Warranty Statement

Korbetts warrants your furniture cover to be free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is extended to the first retail purchaser of the covers for consumer use, and lasts for 12 months for standard furniture covers and 3 years for premium furniture covers commencing from the date of purchase. The warranty covers the replacement of any furniture cover that has a manufacturing defect. This warranty does not apply to any furniture cover that has been subject to accident, neglect, corrosive chemicals, extreme weather conditions, normal wear and tear, colour fading, shipment, misuse or abuse however caused. The warranty does not apply to any damage caused to your furniture / item covered by our furniture covers.

Similarly, strong winds, excess pressure and/or other such factors beyond our control, can cause damage / tearing to the furniture covers. Such damage is not covered under your warranty. While we endeavour to give you the exact size as mentioned on the product, there is always going to be some tolerance in the final product, this is not considered a manufacturing defect.

If you discover a defect during the warranty period and wish to obtain a replacement, please forward to Korbetts at our contact us page address a written description of the claimed defect and a copy of the original invoice.

Any expenses incurred by the consumer in making the warranty claim are at the cost of the consumer.

Purchaser’s Responsibility

The original purchaser of the Product (Purchaser) must inspect the Product on delivery and shall within 30 days of delivery notify Korbetts of any alleged defect, damage, or failure to comply with the description or quote. The Purchaser shall afford Korbetts an opportunity to inspect the Product within a reasonable time following delivery if the Purchaser believes the Product is defective in any way. If the Purchaser fails to comply with these requirements, the Products shall be conclusively presumed to be accepted by the Purchaser and free from any defect or damage.

Where Korbetts has agreed in writing that the Purchaser is entitled to reject a Product, Korbetts liability is limited to either (at Korbetts discretion) replacing the Product or repairing the Product provided that:

  • the Purchaser has complied with the provisions of the Warranty;
  • if requested by Korbetts, the Products are returned at the Purchaser’s cost within 30 days of the delivery date or the timeframe otherwise specified by Korbetts;
  • Any expenses incurred by the purchaser in making the warranty claim are at the cost of the purchaser

Korbetts will not be liable for Products which have not been stored or used in a proper manner; the Product is returned in the condition in which they were delivered and with all packaging material, brochures and instruction material in as new condition as is reasonably possible in the circumstances

Under no circumstances will Korbetts be held responsible or liable in any way for any claims, damages, losses, injuries, expenses, costs or liabilities whatsoever (including, without limitation, any direct or indirect damages for loss of profits, business interruption or loss of information or life) resulting or arising directly or indirectly from your use of our products or from your reliance on the information and material on this website or product insert, even if Korbetts has been advised of the possibility of such damages in advance.

The benefits to the consumer given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the consumer under law in relation to the goods or services to which the warranty relates.

If you purchased your Korbetts product in Australia, the following applies to your product:

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure

If you purchased your Korbetts product in New Zealand, the following applies to your product:

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

UV Guarantee On Cover Fabric

Korbetts gives a 3 year UV guarantee on the furniture cover fabric. This guarantee is extended to the first retail purchaser of the furniture cover and extends for a period of 3 years from the date of first retail purchase. This UV guarantee covers the replacement of any furniture cover that peels / cracks / or is no longer waterproof, due to UV exposure only.

This guarantee does not apply to any furniture cover that has been subject to accident, neglect, corrosive chemicals, extreme weather conditions, normal wear and tear, colour fading, shipment, misuse or abuse however caused. The guarantee does not apply to any damage caused to your furniture / item covered by our furniture covers.
